... and a rare opportunity to attend a mid-week Mass. It was being offered for a private intention by our good friend, Fr John Catlin, at S Mary's Ryde. If you don't know this church, then you can read more about it here, especially its link with the Countess of Clare.
After Mass, Fr John invited a few of us to lunch at Salvatore's where I had a small lasagne with side salad. Fr John raves about this restaurant, which apparently has an interesting host, although he is currently in Spain playing golf.
