Amici probantur rebus adversis (Cicero)
28•VI•1986 — Veris amicus rara avis
In memory of Stephen. He loved to come home from school on a winter’s night, open his bedroom window and blend the sound of the bells from nearby Weaverham Parish Church with the following song, which he played over and over again; its haunting harmonies transporting him into another world: a world without pain and sorrow.
In paradisum deducant te Angeli; in tuo adventu suscipiant te martyres, et perducant te in civitatem sanctam Ierusalem. Chorus angelorum te suscipiat, et cum Lazaro quondam paupere æternam habeas requiem.

Oh what a wonderful blast from the past that was!
I am sorry that Stephen was treated the way he was in the end. That disregard seems endemic in medicine these days-I don't know why.
God comfort you Philip and may He welcome Stephen into His heart.
Not for publishing. Wow, I am fascinated by this little insight into this person's soul -- was he young? It seems as though God was preparing him -- what a grace! Would love to know more about this person.
Also, I just discovered your blog -- it's beautiful! I listened to your fabulous playlist while working at my computer last night.
I also saw your links.....do you know about these:
Cathlic Audio Downloads -- Sheen, etc. - very traditional.
www.keepthefaith.org
and:
www.latinmassmagazine.com
They will soon have a new updated website and an online version of the magazine, and also article downloads.
I help with both apostolates and thought you would like to know about these.
Thanks for the great blog....I will certainly be back!
